Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club at Bilsthorpe Flying High is run in partnership with the National Schools Breakfast Programme (NSBP) and further supported by Lincolnshire Co-op through their Community Champions Scheme to enable our pupils to start their day in the best possible way. NSBP provides heavily discounted nutritious breakfast cereal and Lincolnshire Co-op provides funding to be able to purchase further Breakfast Club food items.

Our Breakfast Club is run by Mrs Perkin and Mrs Vernon, starting every day during term time at 7.45am and running through to the start of the school day when children are delivered to their classrooms. Breakfast Club costs £4.00 per child per day with a 50% discount for children entitled to Free School Meals.

It is important for pupils to start the day with a nutritious breakfast. Evidence shows that providing a healthy school breakfast at the start of the school day can contribute to improved readiness to learn, increased concentration, and improved wellbeing and behaviour. Alongside breakfast, there are a wide range of fun activities for children to take part in.
