World of Work Wednesday!

Today we celebrated World of Work Wednesday, and what an exciting day it was for our children!
We were delighted to welcome Freyja’s dad, who volunteers as a community first aid responder. He spoke to the children about the vital role ambulances play in helping people and even explained what an EpiPen is and how it is used. Freyja proudly shared that she has helped her dad by using one when he has been unwell, and the children loved having the chance to try out a training EpiPen themselves. Thank you so much for visiting and inspiring our nursery learners!
In F2, the children had a fantastic time learning all about Miss Evans’s sister and her important job in the army. They were fascinated to discover that she serves in the Royal Artillery and has taken part in many meaningful roles. The highlight for many was finding out that she has even guarded Buckingham Palace, helping keep the King safe and protecting one of the most iconic buildings in the country. The children were thrilled to watch a video of her marching outside the Palace!
We were also lucky to have Noah’s dad, who shared his experiences as a lorry driver, and Arlo and Ariella's stepdad, who spoke about his career in the army. The children loved hearing about the different roles their families have in the world of work.
A huge thank you to all of the grown-ups who gave their time today. These experiences mean so much to the children and help them learn about the many amazing jobs people do in our community. ![]()
