  • Year 2 - Art workshop

    Year 2 had an art workshop delivered by Artist Jane. They had a great time practicing some drawing, then using polystyrene prints and ink to do some printmaking. We focused on wildflowers and plants to create some beautiful prints.

  • Family Thrive Course

    Before half term, we celebrated the 6-week Family Thrive Course. We would like to thank the parents and carers who attended and participated. Feedback from participants include:

  • Year 5 - Persuasive letter writing

    Year 5 have started a new English unit. They are working towards writing a persuasive letter about changes that could be made to Bilsthorpe to make it a more environmentally friendly place. They worked in groups to brainstorm ideas for environmental issues we have noticed in our local area.

  • World Book Day - Mad Hatters Tea Party

    On Thursday 6th March, it is World Book Day. This year's theme is 'Reading Your Way'. We would like to invite children to come to school dressed either as their favourite book character, or in comfy/cosy clothes. At 2.45pm, we would love for you to join us for a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and share some books and sweet treats with your child. Please ensure you book and pay on ParentPay by Thursday 27th February.

  • We are hiring - Lunchtime Play Leader

    WE ARE HIRING - Lunch time play leader.

    You will work with a supportive team, assisting children at lunchtimes both inside the dinner hall and outside on the playground. You will support with encouraging positive play and follow the school's behaviour policy. You will help to keep children safe and make sure that any injuries or illness is reported. You may have an existing first aid qualification but, if not, we will provide you with appropriate training.

    Year 6 used the dance moves they had learnt in the Autumn term and the gymnastics they have learnt so far this term to create a routine inspired by what they had learnt about Chinese New Year.

  • Childrens Mental Health Week

    As part of Childrens Mental Health Week year 6, they designed their own personality islands and took part in a virtual webinar with the theme 'Know yourself, grow yourself'. They learnt that learning about the world can help them and that by talking about things, taking part in hobbies and relaxing are all good strategies to support our mental health.

  • F1 - Looking after the school environment
